The Leadership Assessment Program
Developing Leadership Strengths in Yourself and Others

The Leadership Assessment Program is a one-day session providing an overview of four leading employee development instruments. These tools, when combined, provide deep insights into individual strengths and opportunities for improvement. When the Assessment Process is applied in the workplace it greatly enhances:

Acting Like a Leader: Managing Effectively for enhanced productivity and team building
Talking Like a Leader: Improving Communications for problem solving and conflict resolution
Growing Like a Leader: Increasing Self Understanding for personal and professional development

Before… Participants complete the four instruments to help them build an enhanced awareness about their strengths and identify potential development opportunities.

During… The first half of the session allows participants to develop a working knowledge of the instruments as they receive feedback about their own results. During the second half, through hands-on interaction as a team, they use targeted case studies to gain a deeper appreciation of their own instrument results.

After… Participants will have an enhanced knowledge of their own effectiveness and can become better managers by leading with their strengths and minimizing their weaknesses. In fact, participants will have a greatly increased one of the most critical areas of management-making the best decisions about the hiring, promoting and development of the most effective employees.

The Leadership Assessment Program gives participants powerful tools to take risk out of three of their most critical processes:
· Developing the skills of valued staff
· Hiring qualified employees
· Promoting the right people from within

Those who have attended have seen true return on their investment:

"Every one of us is different. We have our own strengths, attitudes, motivations, and needs. Effective leaders understand these differences and how they impact relationships, decision-making, and management style. The Leadership Assessment Program is an excellent way to explore these factors in ourselves to be more successful in leading others. Our entire executive team has participated in and benefited from this process.
Bill Favro, Vice President of Human Resources, B.G. Sulzle, Inc. Syracuse, New York

"The Leadership Assessment Program is an excellent career and professional development experience. The session provides executives and managers a rare opportunity to 'look in the mirror.' The case studies allow participants to focus on the competencies that would help us all to become better leaders."
Mark Darrow, Corporate Director, Human Resources, Gleason Corporation

"Managers at all levels would truly benefit from this program. I learned a great deal - not only from the self evaluation, but also from the case studies. The case studies cut directly to what you need to focus on when hiring and promoting people"
Ted Boucher, Executive Vice President, Caldwell Manufacturing Company

"I now have a much better understanding of the instruments and the way to integrate them in order to make more effective hiring and promotion decisions."
Bill Cherry, Director of Human Resources, The Gleason Works
