Who
Wants to Be a Copywriter? Contest #7
The
winner of the seventh"Who Wants to Be a Copywriter"
contest was Lori G. for her entry,
It's
a Foot-long Hot Dog AND We're Happy to See you!
The Assignment Was:
Frank's is a local hotdog, hamburger and sandwich
shop. It's been around since the 50's, starting out on the lake
near the beach and the carousel and now with four locations from
downtown to the outlying suburbs and towns. The place attracts
mostly adults 25-50, but used to be a teen hang out. The stores
are clean, updated and feature a full menu compared to the competition,
and the signature menu item is Frank's Foot Long Hot Dog.
Your job was to write a tagline for use in print
and on the radio that makes Frank's fun and inviting to both teens
and adults.
Lori is a actually
a professional writer specializing in high tech, computer stuff
like so many of her Rocky Mountain and Pacific Northwest colleagues.
Being a writer, let alone a mountaineer, she probably already
has enough Eddie Bauer garb, but rules are rules so she will be
receiving her Eddie Bauer gift certificate faster than you can
say Pleated-front, Flannel-lined Chinos.
